ANU College of Systems and Society - Academic Staff Member Elections to Academic Board 

The membership term for the current College of Systems and Society Representatives on Academic Board are set to expire on 2 May 2026. 

On 11 March 2026 a call for nominations was circulated to all eligible college academic staff to fill the three available positions. Staff wishing to nominate to fill these vacancies were provided with details to submit their nomination by the nomination deadline Friday 27 March 2026.  The following two valid nominations were received and as those nominations did not exceed the number of positions available, those candidates were declared elected:

Professor Penny Kyburz
Professor Uri Onn

In order to fill the remaining vacancy of 1 position, nominations were reopened for a further period until 5pm on Wednesday 8 April.  At the close of nominations, the following nominations were received: 

• Dr Felipe Trevizan
• Professor Nan Yang

As there are more nominations than available vacancies, an online ballot will be held and all eligible academic staff members will be invited to vote. 

The voting poll opens on Friday 10 April 2026. All eligible voters will be sent a link to vote on this day. 

Voting closes on Tuesday 28 April 2026. 

The candidate successfully appointed to this vacancy will commence as a member on Academic Board on 3 May for a 2 year term.
